Buckykatt Relaxed This Weekend.

Boy oh boy did I need this one. I went up to Austin to visit one of my best friends, JB. He and his girlfriend P just finished building a brand new house out on Lake Travis. It is an incredible house, with the most spectacular view of the lake. P's friend, jokingly known as Aunt B, was there as well (if I keep this up with the , I'm going to start sounding like that retard Guy Fieri). The four of us had a fantastic time together cooking, drinking wine, and taking in the sunsets.

I did NOT want to come home today. However, there is this one small responsibility that I have that is commonly known as a job, and I figured that I needed to keep my responsibilities. After all, if I want to be able to afford to go out of town on the weekends, I need to keep this job thing going.

Staying at JB's new house is like staying at a resort. When I woke up Saturday morning, I saw this from my bed....

We did a lot of cooking together. Friday night was Asian Night. We had a full platter of fresh sushi, steamed edamame, and spring rolls. Saturday night was Greek Fest. We cooked kefta, grilled lamb, tzatziki, pita, Greek salad, roasted vegetables, and some baklava that I brought from a Mediterranean megamart here in Houston.

We ate well. VERY VERY well. The food, the wine, and best of all, the company made this one of the best weekends I have had in a long while.

The views were also amazing. I could have stayed put on the porch all day and night taking it in. It was so peaceful and relaxing.

I needed this.

If the house is as good as the view, I'd be looking for a job in Austin. I can see why you didn't want to leave.
Nice to see you cooking again.
